The nine-strong Supervisory Board comprises representatives from leading gaming companies and industry experts. These members include Dmitry Fokin (CEO, CarX Technologies); Dmitry Filatov (CEO, Narwhal); Oleg Kudishov (COO, Buka); Danila Kamenev (Head of Publishing, Indie GO Fund); Yan Yankeloyts (Development Director, Overmobile); Nikolay Dybovsky (former Head of Ice-Pick Lodge); Hisham Nuhu; and Atom Team veteran Alexander Kompanets.
Also serving on the Board is Roman Lukyanov, Managing Partner of Semenov & Pevzner, who provides the legal community’s perspective and brings specialized expertise in intellectual property protection for the creative industries.
According to the RVI, the establishment of the Supervisory Board is a direct response to the association’s expanding role and the growing need for broader involvement from the professional community in the advancement of the Russian gaming industry.
Roman Lukyanov, Managing Partner of Semenov & Pevzner, comments: “The video game industry in Russia today possesses immense economic and cultural potential, both domestically and for export. However, unlocking and realizing this potential to the fullest extent is not always achievable through private business initiatives alone. In this context, the RVI’s move to engage a broader expert community in addressing global industry challenges is a logical and evolutionary step, which complements its existing efforts to support the video game sector. This initiative is most welcome. I firmly believe that the positive impact of the Supervisory Board’s work will be tangible in the immediate future.
*The Russian Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI) is the first association of video game developers in Russia. It currently brings together over 300 industry experts and representatives, ranging from developers and publishers to streamers and legal professionals.
The Organization’s mission is to advance the video game industry by supporting major projects and high-impact initiatives and by facilitating their promotion and public discussion. The RVI works to foster a positive image for game development and gaming culture in the public eye and to coordinate collaboration among investors, publishers, academia, and corporations. A core objective is to significantly enhance the investment appeal of video game projects and to develop effective strategies for their global promotion in the current landscape.
